180 Skills, a Company Passionate About Skills Training

Life is a journey that requires skills and skills training should be there when and where it’s needed.

Joe Kitterman founded 180 Skills in 2009 based on a need he experienced firsthand as a manager in the manufacturing industry. While Joe wanted to help his employees grow and prosper in their careers, he couldn’t get them the skills training needed to thrive. So, he started thinking: What if employees had access to on-demand, self-paced online skills training? And the rest is history.

Today, 180 Skills has the world’s largest collection of online skills courses for manufacturers—and a whole lot more. With nearly 800 online courses and several industry-recognized certification programs in our content library, we provide high-quality, low-cost skills training to learners in all industries and work environments.

Our short-term skills courses follow a self-paced format and fall into one of the following four categories:

  • Workplace and Soft Skills
  • Risk Management and Compliance Skills
  • Technical Skills
  • Quality and Continuous Improvement Skills

Overall, 180 Skills believes that skills training should be career aligned and accessible to anyone, at any time, and from anywhere.

To date, we have enrolled over 210,000 learners spanning the globe, reaching them through employers, educators, or local workforce organizations.

Companies of all sizes use our online skills training to onboard, train, and upskill their employees, resulting in higher productivity and lower turnover.

Community colleges and CTE programs use our online courses in their workforce education programs to teach students the job-ready skills local employers demand.
